    Nylon 3D Printer Filament - Keep your Nylons Dry, free from moisture!!!

    We have ran our own tests and prints and have found Nylon 618 to be very easy to use on a cold bed with blue painters tape and a very fine coat of strong hairspray, with our MakerBot Rep 2 X running at 240 degrees. Suffice to say that we were so impressed with the product, we knew that we needed to add it to our already extensive filament list, giving you the opportunity to try out this relatively new line (back in 2015), one that you may otherwise have missed out on.

    Nylon can also be dyed to the colour of your choice, now we could run through how to do this for you.  However here is  a link to the most comprehensive, informative and professional blog on how to colour nylon over at the richrap blogspot.

    This is a 1lb spool of Nylon 618.
    618′s bonding is best at a true 245C.
    618 will not print/stick to glass or aluminum print tables.
    The best table material for a new user is a flat piece of unfinished poplar wood or blue painters tape (although we did use a very slight layer of heavy hold hairspray, which worked great).
    Print temperature is between 235-260°C  Part and printer dependent.
    618 does not emit any fumes for printing.
