PolyMax is a family of 3D printing filaments made with the best raw materials to deliver exceptional quality and reliability. PolyMax covers the most popular 3D printing materials to meet your everyday needs in design and prototyping.

PETG a glycol-modified Polyethylene terephthalate (PET)

Another great 3D Desktop printing filament from the world renowned manufacturer PolyMaker, here is the new PolyMax PETG.  This material is tough, we mean print a test piece just a few layers thick and see how strong and resilient this material is!

Superior Toughness - PolyMax PETG is a nano-reinforced PETG filament exhibiting superior fracture toughness when compared to regular PETG and even ABS!

Heat Resistant  PolyMax PETG features a heat resistance up to 80C, suitable for a wide range of practical applications.

Ease of Post-Processing - PolyMax PETG offers improved post-processing capabilities when compared to PolyMax PLA. Easily sand your print to remove layer-lines and achieve a beautiful smooth surface.

Easy-to-print - The great mechanical performance of PolyMax PETG is achieved with no compromise in printing quality. PolyMax PETG prints easily on a wide range of machines with minimal printing requirements and excellent dimensional stability.

Uncompromised Quality - Polymakers leading quality control process and rigorous in-house testing, ensure reliable printing and consistency across spools and batches.

Amazing stuff

This stuff prints beautifully using the recommended settings (230 degree nozzle, 70 degree bed, 50mm/s). I've gone through about 500g of it now printing a full set of replacement parts for my printer and it hasn't failed me once. It will even print short bridges with no problem. I print bridges at a high speed, about 80-100mm/s to stretch the filament out and it works great.

I use the same retraction settings as I do with PLA, about 3mm at 30mm/s and I've had little to no stringing and ooze. The nozzle wipe setting seems to really help mitigate stringing.

The only parameter I don't agree with is the cooling fan being on. I found that prints warped and peeled away from the bed if the fan was blowing on the part. I use Insette extra hold hairspray on a glass bed and have no warping or peeling when the fan is off. I also had no issues printing directly onto glass with some test prints but I wouldn't really recommend this for long/large prints.

It's pretty much odorless and the finish is amazing, very smooth and shiny.

Highly recommended for critical prints like printer parts that require that extra bit of quality and strength.
