We have the pleasure in offering you a unique 3D Desktop printing filament, created from recycled Oyster shells! Please note if using Francofil Oyster filament regularly, a steel or hardened nozzle is recommended,

Unlike other filaments, co-produced PLA are naturally coloured by the recovery of waste (recovered in a short circuit) after their first life cycles in different sectors (agriculture, catering, etc.). Francofil thus offers you original filaments made from mussel shells, oysters, scallops, scraps of wheat, beer spent, coffee grounds… which print like standard PLA.
Oyster is the common name for a number of different families of salt-water bivalve molluscs that live in marine or brackish habitats. In some species, the valves are highly calcified, and many are somewhat irregular in shape. Many, but not all oysters are in the superfamily Ostreoidea.
Some types of oysters are commonly consumed cooked or raw, and in some locales are regarded as a delicacy. Some types of pearl oysters are harvested for the pearl produced within the mantle. Windowpane oysters are harvested for their translucent shells, which are used to make various kinds of decorative objects. Wikipedia

Please note that as the Francofil Oyster filament is made from Natureworks 4030D quality PLA resin and ground natural Oyster shells, colour steadfastness across every single spool may not be exactly the same, every time.
Manufactured at our production site in Normandy, these filaments without industrial dyes or additives will guarantee you new effects and new textures while promoting the circular economy.
